Easily adds a planting schedule to your drawing
Choose from 4 pre-formatted plant schedules to be inserted into your drawing. You can also add schedule extensions too. The following information is automatically placed into the plant schedule:
- Key name
- Quantity
- Botanical Name
- Common Name
- Size
- Condition
- Region
- Nursery
- Mature Height
- Spread
- Unit Cost
- Total Cost
After the planting schedule is added to your drawing you simply create a list a plants (using the project worksheet provided) then insert the appropriate symbols into your landscape plan.
Symbols placed in plan are then linked to the EZ-Plant Key Name in the planting schedule.
About the Plant Database
The plant database contains trees, shrubs, plants, ground covers, and ornamental grasses in each of the Northern and Southern Versions. These plants are now combined into one easy to use database and can be distinguished by either identified regions or by nursery listings.
Pre-drawn AutoCAD landscape symbols
Over 48 AutoCAD landscape symbols in plan view are included free with the program. You will be able to easily produce planting designs by simply inserting them into your drawing. You can also add your own custom plant symbol library if desired, and add as many plants as you want.
The plant symbols within the library are directly linked to a powerful new Excel plant database within the schedule. This new database works directly inside AutoCAD 2000-2008.
EZ-Plant reads the blocks within the drawing, adds up the total number of plants and automatically places that total into the Quantity (QTY) column in the schedule.
Project Symbols Worksheet
The Project Symbols Worksheet was designed to track and document the plant symbols used during the design process to ensure that only one symbol is used for each of the plant species.
The worksheet provides you with a method to insert the plants into a specific order within your schedule.
