FAQ’s:
“Can I get these details shipped to me on a CD?”
Yes, we have an option at checkout where a CD can be mailed to you instead of downloading. A tracking ID will also be sent as soon as it is shipped (usually within a business day).
“What is the difference between the 3,000 CD and Complete?”
Both the 3,000 CD and Details Complete contain the same 3,000 high quality construction details but Details Complete also includes our “No Learning Curve” software enabling you to effectively manage and to add more details. The details on the 3,000 CD are designed primarily for users of AutoCAD Lite, ArchiCAD, or other CAD programs that read DWG or DXF files. With 3,000 CD the details are first located in the eCatalog and then those details must be inserted using your CAD software, such as the “Insert” command in AutoCAD Lite or similar commands in other CAD programs.
“What do you mean by ‘No Learning Curve Software?’”
We have written our software to have the least amount of bells and whistles possible so that is automatically intuitive. If you can use AutoCAD R14, 2000-2007 you can use Details Complete Software to manage your library for you.
“In what format are your DWG files?”
All of our DWG details are saved in AutoCAD R13 format. This means that all of the following programs can read them:
AutoCAD® R13, R14, and 2000-2008 and all versions of Architectural Desktop
Plus, most other modern CAD programs with the ability to import DWG files
“Which ADA details are included?
All of the details drawn in the Federal Register are included as well as several others for a total of 59 ADA details.
“What is AutoScale?”
Each AutoCAD drawing has a particular scale factor associated with it. This scale factor is a positive integer and it is stored in the DIMSCALE variable for that drawing. Details Complete reads this value before inserting a detail in order to scale it properly to the current drawing.
