3D AutoCAD enhancements in AutoCAD 2007
AutoCAD 2007 introduces a whole new rendering engine and loads of new materials. Also included in the 2007 release are many new 3D commands, easier 3D object creation and new methods of navigation.
A new 3d AutoCAD Dashboard is included in this latest release so you can easily access commands and drawing settings. Note that many more tools within the Dashboards palette can be revealed by clicking the double-down arrow within the menu.
Below are a few highlights of the new Autodesk release:

Sub-object editing (face, edge, vertex & boolean history)
Grip-edit nodes for 3D AutoCAD objects

Enhanced visual objects
Polysolid object (3d solid relative of a polyline)
New SWEEP command (extrude along a path)
New LOFT command (enhanced curved shapes)

New SURFACE command (From slice command)
New LATSHOT command (convert 3D drawing to 2D)
Improved SLICE (slice objects with Surface Mesh)

What’s new in 2D AutoCAD 2007?
Autodesk’s latest release is not just for 3D AutoCAD modeling. Don’t be fooled, 2007 adds even more power and 2D functionality to AutoCAD than its predecessor AutoCAD 2006!
Autodesk has also added a new improved Dwg file format and has integrated Express Tools into the core product.
In addition new visual styles can be now applied to a viewport. Settings such as jitter overhang (similar to squiggle), X-Ray, & even shadows have been added here.

Direct Printing to PDF (export drawing to a PDF file)
