Inspection dimensions

In AutoCAD 2008 you can convert your existing dimension objects into inspection dimensions by using the DIMINSPECT command. You may be asking “what are inspection dimensions?”

Inspection dimensions are used to maintain critical dimensions and tolerances during the machining process (typically used in industrial applications).

After converting your dimension to an inspection dimension, you can go later back and edit the inspection dimension properties by using the Inspection Dimensions dialog box or the Properties window.
