We’ve just added Mechanical Power Tools 4 (MPT4) to our software utilities section. This add-on for Auto 2000-2007 provides you with some great tools to quickly create great looking mechanical drawings.
Here’s a sampling of what’s inside MPT4:
PowerSwap: Edit your mechanical drawing - for example you can change the fasteners and any hole to any available type.
PowerEdit: Edit your mechanical drawing parametrically with the easy to use dialog interface.
Layer Manager: Define and save different layers groupings. For example, you could load a layer setting for one client “A” and then load another for client “B”.
Hole Charting: Auto-create Hole schedules - simply select which holes you wish to chart, and the program inserts a dynamic schedule in your mechanical drawing.
Datum Dimensioning: This Dimensioning module enhances AutoCAD’s datum dimensioning. Just “point and click.” and the software does the rest.
