What is RSS?

An RSS file is a list of headlines and stories that are encoded so that it can be easily shared by news reader programs or websites. RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication" and it very easy to setup. RSS simply provides a way for the data or feed to be seperated into headlines, dates, descriptions of a story and so on.

Programs that run and subscribe to RSS feeds are called "news aggregators". Fortunately there are a lot of different options. Most aggregators are extreemly easy to use. See right side subscription buttons for simple web aggregators. In less than 2 minutes you be subscribed free. Aggregators let you read headlines from dozens or hundreds of news sites at one time and grab content automatically. For desktop aggregators just plug in the URL address of the RSS files you want (such as the one listed on the top of this page).

How to subscribe to Forum?

The technology of RSS allows you to subscribe to fresh website content and the latest news events. RSS subscriptions are also free and can be setup with just a few clicks. Using an aggregator (news feeder) you'll be able to track updates on the site automatically.

If you don't want to install any software, you might try websites that do the aggregation for you (see subscription buttons list located directly to the right). NewsGator lets you read online or in your e-mail software (add your feeds here) while Bloglines offers a very slick interface. My Feedster marries an aggregator to an RSS search engine and Oddpost (for Windows) is a paid web-based e-mail service that includes a built-in aggregator.

Yahoo! lets you add RSS feeds to your personalized page. To add any feed click on My Yahoo! subscription button in right column. Google and MSN also allow you do the same.
