Mesh To Solid for AutoCAD adds several commands along with a menu which houses them.
Meshes are often used to describe closed solid or open surface objects. However, general solid modeling software do not have methods to manipulate or modify mesh objects.
Solid modeling operations such as boolean operations (add, subtract, intersect), extrude, offset, fillet, chamfer, rib, draft, shell, hollow, etc. are possible only with solid or surface objects.

If you accept the default values in the installer, Mesh To Solid will be up and running within a minute.
However, if you choose to modify the values (for example, install the software at a location other than the default) then you will have to take extra care to see that AutoCAD and the Mesh To Solid plug-in are properly setup and recognize each other. For an easy and straight forward installation, simply run the installer and accept the default installation options.
Mesh To Solid for AutoCAD adds a whole new set of commands to AutoCAD 3D. All the commands start with “MS” (stands for Mesh To Solid) to distinguish them from other AutoCAD commands and commands added by other plug-ins. These commands are housed in a new menu called “Mesh To Solid” which is added to the AutoCAD menu.
