Quick Access to Commands

APS-2007 comes with hundreds of commands so getting to the command you need quickly and easily becomes an issue. The program keeps overall clutter to a minimum.

Commands appear only when and where you need them. For example when drawing an elevation, the active toolbar displays the elevation toolbar buttons.

There are 15 different toolbars that are included with APS-2007. Toolbars can be always be customized and created for any drawing type that you may need. Only the toolbars from the type of drawing currently being worked on show on your desktop.

Entering Your Floor Plan

Residential and many other floor plan types typically start by laying out the walls. Commands are designed to help you quickly and accurately get the walls drawn no matter how you like to draw them.

Working on an office, institutional, medical, industrial, or commercial building? This Architectural Software for AutoCAD is fully customizable and has no limitations as to what you can achieve.

Doors And Windows

Many different types of doors and windows are provided within this robust Architectural Software package. Walls can be cut or doors and windows can be inserted in existing openings. Will break walls made up of any combination and/or number of lines, plines, and/or mlines.

All doors and windows are fully customizable. APS-2007 can be configured to draw headers, sills and/or jambs and if they are inserted in an “existing” wall . When inserting doors, several options for handing and swing type are available.

Base points for locating and inserting your doors and windows are very flexible and do not need to be located on the wall that will receive the new door or window. There’s no need to draw “temporary” lines to locate doors or windows; greatly speeding things up without sacrificing accuracy.

Noting the Doors and Windows

You can either not size and type notation. This is for jobs that don’t require door and window schedules the size and type of door & window can be noted easily.

If you can implement the noting along with creating with door and window schedules. Symbols can be inserted. Both fonts and symbol shapes are fully customizable to your liking.

Both types of annotation allow you to place notes/symbols globally or by selecting each door or window individually and when using symbols they can be automatically numbered and/or lettered as they are inserted.

Schedules

After adding the door and window symbols to your drawing you can extract their information and create a schedule with just the push of a button. Every part of the schedule is drawn for you.

You may increase or decrease the number of columns shown and change the titles so you show exactly the information you want. It will even create a legend of abbreviations used in the schedule.

Schedules can be easily updated by re-running a schedule command. Program will creates door, window, and finish schedules.

Creating Door and Window Elevations

Creating door and window elevations has never been easier! All of our door and window elevation blocks are created on the fly (no thousands of door and window blocks for you to change).

Each of door and window types has configuration settings for things like trim, window grids, grid styles, glazing size, color, lineweight etc.

Select the type of door or window, specify the size and configuration, and insert it manually … or you select doors and windows then automatically add them into the elevation. Plan and the elevations are created automatically

Layer Control

Layer control is so much more than layer states, or changing layer properties. In addition to the “standard” layer commands we have a fully automated layer control system that allows you to draw without having to worry about layers. Objects “know” on which layer they should go.

The layers can be either automatically assign or by prompting you for input. In addition you can use first floor and second floor layers and so on.

You can also switch to a manual mode and turn aff automation as needed. The layer schemes work seamlessly with XREF files and their layers.

Sections and Details

Create a detail from scratch as fast or faster than changing an existing detail. One such tool is the DETAILER system. It is comprised of over 25 individual commands to create some of the more commonly used materials in ways that make constructing sections and details easy, fast, and accurate.

The appearance of all the materials created by the DETAILER commands are also fully customizable.

Cabinetry Elevations

Draw base cabinetry, drawers, upper cabinets and appliances if desired. Plus, create cabinets of any size and are not limited to “what’s in the block library”. Change the appearance and common dimensions of the cabinetry to customize to your needs.

Inserting Hatch

There are (3) hatch palettes: one for details and sections, one for elevations, and one for plans (shown below). Each allows you to set up a standard set of 40 hatch patterns and you are able to predefine each pattern’s properties and style so the trial and error of hatching is eliminated.

Reflected Ceiling Plans

The door and window headers are drawn automatically by the door and window commands so if we were drawing an office building or other space with an acrostical tile ceiling we could just use our ceiling grid command and automatically center your ceiling grids with just a couple of clicks.

Then use dozens of other commands to insert lighting, electrical, mechanical, and other items to complete your RCP plan.

Roof Plans and Roof Framing Plans

We have commands to help make laying out a roof plan quick and easy and when you want to show the framing we have commands to help with that too.

Block Libraries

We are proud of our block library system. It allows you quick access to blocks, commands, and more. The block library system is divided into two sections: PLANBLKS and ELEVBLKS.

Fully customizable block libraries come stocked with the basics to get you started (approx. 350 blocks) and allow you to attach custom commands to them. This means you can that create thousands of door, window and cabinet elevations variations.

Insert a “Wall” block - control the way it is inserted … or insert an architectural symbol at a certain scale, cabinet elevation at a certain width, or even Run an AutoLisp command!

Each of block action can be customized to fit your needs. In addition to our block libraries we’ve also got a full array of commands that make working with blocks and XREF’s simpler and more efficient.

Architectural Annotation Symbols

There is a wide variety of annotation symbols and symbol commands available. These commands and blocks allow you to quickly and easily reference your drawings and all are fully customizable so they can be changed to match your graphic standards.
