Inserting a
Title Block

Easily define & set attributes to use in Title Block

TitleBlock allows to set attributes of “title block” blocks and to insert them quickly without having to enter already known information.

Quickly and easily create and manage Title Blocks!

set the attributes of a title block

With TitleBlock, every attribute can be bound to a text file which constitutes a list of possible choices for every attribute.

The application uses 2 dialogue boxes (see snapshots at right). The first one allows the setting of the attributes of a title block and the second one allows to insert this title block and to automatically fill its attributes.

Setting TitleBlock Parameters

In the first stage, the parameters can be set at the end of the configuration file (.crh ). This sets up TitleBlock so that attributes can be created.

The attributes of the block are displayed in the left list and their parameters (if a file of parameters setting was created) on the right.

Creating custom drop downs

Within TitleBlock you can indicate a text file that attaches to an attribute. This file must contain a list of texts which will be proposed as a choice during the filling of the attributes.

For example, if you attach a ‘STATE’ attribute to a file containing a list of states, then the TitleBlock will proposed this predefined list to you. Note: The text file must be in one of the AutoCAD search directories.

Prefix: Indicate a prefix to be stuck to the value of the attribute.

Suffix: Indicate a suffix to be stuck to the value of the attribute.

Date format: If the block contains an attribute whose name begins with DATE- (DATE 0, DATE-CREATION, DATE-FILE etc.), this attribute will be filled with the current date. You must then choose a format (Month Day Year, DD /MM/YEAR etc.)

File format: If the block contains an attribute whose name begins with DWG- (DWG-0,…), this attribute will be filled with the name of the current file. You must then choose a format (Disc/Directory /File with extension, File without extension etc.)

Other “special” attribute: If the block contains an attribute whose name begins with SCALE-, this attribute will be filled with the scale that you will indicate during the insertion of the TitleBlock.

TitleBlocks can then be quickly inserted. TitleBlock is an easy to use add-on saving you time and money!
