Import coordinates right into AutoCAD!
RapidDXF is an application that allows to import topographic data in your CAD system. It reads ASCII (text) files of coordinates and creates DXF (version 12) files.

The DXF files so created are usable in any CAD software. Import your coordinates right into AutoCAD and auto-create polylines and more.
RapidDXF Point, Text and Polyline entities. Simply choose a layer and a color and convert them.
Coordinates files can be GPS files, XYZ files, generally files with the following format:
Number, X (East), Y (North), Z (Elevation), Description. In addition, a special Code field can be processed for polyline creation.
Creates these DXF entities
- POINT entity : a point is created at the X Y and Z coordinates. It can be 2D or 3D.
- TEXT entity : these are text strings for Number, X, Y, Z and Description datas.
- POLYLINE entity : a multiple segments line joining specified points.
You can create an unlimited number of File Formats using the Format Editor. A format can contain up to 6 fields of datas: Number or Label of the point, X (East) Coordinate, Y (North) Coordinate, Z (Elevation) Coordinate, Description of the point, Code for polyline creation.
Note: The minimum required fields are the X and Y coordinates. If there are more than 6 fields, the data after 6th field won’t be processed.
The DXF files created by RapidDXF’s topographic add-on are compatible with most CAD applications. You can easily import them into your drawing.
