Structural Steel Detailing Made Easy
This IntelliCAD/ AutoCAD structural steel design add-on is both customizable and easy to learn. Runs in AutoCAD LT and from r14 though AutoCAD 2009. This structural detailing software supports both Metric & English (Imperial) Units.

MECH-Q Structural includes steel detailing utilities for beam-connections, stairs, ladder, bracing, hand railing, frames, welding symbols, a beam designer and much more.

Many of these tools include auto-dimensioning to fabrication detail and includes Auto-BOM with weighted BOM. Structural steel design has never been easier.
Structural Steel Shapes & Beams
Draws in both 2D & 3D and includes Auto-BOM with weighted BOM (fully customizable). This structural steel shape routine supports data listing with a pick & match option. Layers are fully customizable. Curved beam option also available. Annotates shapes and beams as needed.

Structural Stairs Utility
Structural Stairs Utility will draw stairs to the configuration set by the user. The routine will also draw Single-flight and multi-flight stairs in Front, Plan and End views and then add the main Dimensions and Stair Data as required. Handrail outline can also be included.
Stringer Detail - With auto-dimensioning for fabrication. Use the program design feature to draw the stairs - then by simply picking the stairs stringer, it will be auto-detailed for you.
Also includes concrete Pan Style stair tread. The user has full control on the stairs design parameters, including stringer and tread sizes, slope, width, stair flights configuration.
Structural Ladders Utility
The Ladder Utility will draw Side Stepping and Step Thru. ladders - Front, Plan and End views. The utility can also draw safety Cages and fabrication Detail. Auto Dimensioning is included.
To change the ladder configuration the user simply picks up (with pointing device) the relevant dimension box on the ladder image and enter the new value in the edit box displayed.
Structural Hand railing Utility
The Structural Hand railing Utility will draw hand railing and stanchions Both metric and Hand railing units. Both Steel and Aluminium railing are supported. In addition this utility can draw Welded, “Monowills” and Square tubes but sizes, & shapes are also fully customizable.

Run Elevation - pick two points + handrail then stanchions is drawn
Run Plan - draw an outline polyline just pick the polyline to draw the required handrail plan

Steel Sections Utility
Other sections can be added by request. This structural steel design utility will draw - Sections, Plan and End views of all standard sizes both 2-D and 3-D. The Utility stores the section detail and property as XDATA and the sections drawn can be listed for section properties including: Section Size, Unit Mass and Modulus. The utility also includes weighted Bill Of Material (BOM) functions.
Structural Beam Design Utility
The structural beam utility designs and calculates stresses and deflections for simple beam cases. Structural steel Beam cases include simply Supported, cantilever, propped cantilever and build-in.

Installation & Unlocking Procedures:
Download the Mech-Q Structural software.
Install software. You will be given an Serial Number, listed in the Mech-Q start up dialogue.
Use the Mech-Q On-Line Authorization Code Application to register your software
(details provided in readme.txt with download)
Once registered & processed you will be emailed the authorization code within 24 hours to unlock the software.
